Deorro’s time DJing is coming to an end. With a series of posts on Twitter earlier in May the man otherwise known as Erick Orrosquiesta announces that he is quitting DJing saying that it is keeping him from what he loves most, his family and producing. Erick also mentions that he also wants to focus on helping new producers and help his panda funk crew get on their own tour.
I love producing music. And I want to do it more, so if there's opportunity to do it more, imma do it. Cuz I love it. Call me a sellout.

I just want you to know that I'm actually going to quit djing.

1. Because it's keeping me away from my family, and it's making it difficult to do what I love, which is produce music. #FAM

2. I'm not the center of attention kind of guy, I don't like being spoiled.

3. As they said at the start of my career, "I'm not brand/artist material". I've proved to them that it's all about the music, not looks.

4. I ditched the pandafunk crew I was helping, to go on tour. My family is set now, I have what I need. Time to return and get them touring.

Even with this announcement though Deorro is still set to finish his scheduled tour dates. It is also good note that this is not necessarily a bad thing. Quite the contrary, in fact, with his time away from DJing and touring Deorro will be able to spend more time producing his own music for the fans. So we will be hearing a lot more from him in the future. He is already set with a plan for an album in which he says he is 19 tracks into. We already cannot wait to hear the music that has been pent up in his head, waiting to be unleashed to the public.
