Since the release of his LP Liberation oddCouple has been noted just about everywhere, though the producer has been making beats for quite some time in Chicago. Moving in locally to attend DePaul University in ’07, where he found himself acquainted with Chance the Rapper and his manger, he continued to fill his beat library.
For the producer also known as Zach Henderson however the rise has not been as glorifying as his current success. Dealing with parting ways with his original partner amongst other heavy losses within his life, Henderson found himself at a difficult crossroads between his passoin for music and the dreary 9-5. But a push to complete his first LP Chatterbox was made well worthy as a call from Closed Sessions before finishing the project turned his luck around.
Since then oddCouple worked with some of Chicago’s most popular. Jamila Woods, Mick Jenkins, Joey Purp, Chance the Rapper, Rich Jones & Kweku Collins to name just a few have all put in work with Henderson. Fast forward to 2017 today and this rising artist is enjoying the fruits of his labor. Recently coming out of a festival he curated with Summerfest in his hometown Milwaukee, theMID with Aux Cord DJ Sessions and Pitchfork after parties, oddCouple also humbly releases a single See The Sun. Reflecting on the light after a Liberation. Looking forward to see what he has planned next.
