Kyral x Banko Free Remix and Release

Joining the many artists following What So Not’s Stranger Things Remix teaser Kyral and Banko from the city of Chi are amongst the few to stand out. Doing a really good job at splicing in dialogue from series and keeping the flow of the song, the two remake this smooth melody in to a elbow raising trap beat. You can own that one for free. This generous duo is offering up another track for free for you to blast out loud. Want It comes to you through Plenum Records earlier this week. You most definitely want this in your playlist.

Bouncing between tracks like Stranger Flip with a smooth melody and a raw beat like Want It, you can get a crowd hooked between the rises and falls characterized in these tracks. Catch these guys do their thing live opening up for Zeds Dead at Reaction NYE party in Rosemont Il, near Chicago and mid December in Denver at the Larimar Lounge. With an EP coming up early 2017, you can expect to hear some madness unreleased. New music riding under the trap King UZ‘s banner Quality Good Records, these should be head rocking beats.

∆ M A C H O B E A T Z ∆ – FR££DVMß

Machobeatz gets dark and heavy on his latest addition to his discography. Reminiscent to his Getcho Freak Own and The Mid on his album DOVGH NVTS, Macho creates a club ready track any trap loving audience can break their necks and throw their elbows up to.  Jumping  between moody and heavy hitting tracks, Macho continues to improve and evolve in his sound gaining more substance and flow with each and every beat.

Pero Lyke 5heriff’s Musically Gifted

pero lyke

Only 5heriff has the creative ingenuity to come with a beat as such. Merging two cultures together, Latin American and hip hop and trap beats from Chicago, Pero (Lyke) gives you a tough decision between bailando and kickin back. The energy is surreal, mostly because there are not a lot of beats available in this fashion. Talk about thinking outside the box. Cannot identify the Spanish sampling because of my ignorance on the genre but in any case this track is one to repeat.

What So Not – Gemini EP

What So Not unleashes his long awaited Gemini EP onto the public. The dedicated fans got many previews of the EP’s tracks during live shows such as Arrow, a collaboration with Dillon Francis and Dawn Golden that sets the crowd into a absolute frenzy. I have experienced this frenzy myself during Flume‘s live set at Electric Forest; Madness. Most of the tracks of the EP feature an separate artist; much like his recent project with TKay Maidza, Baauer and George Maple. All five songs are hits whether they are energetic or ambient.

Starting off with a prelude to the Gemini single, it features Tunji Ige adding a rhythmic flow of lyrics and rhymes. Continuing to Gemini, leading off with female vocals this production includes George Maple who helped make this song an instant classic. Next two tracks take on more energetic rhythm with heavy bass. Flowing into Arrows follwed by Death Drive that starts with a distorted guitar riff. KLP on vocals leads the rest of the track into a high energy trap juke rhythm. To finish off the EP What So Not tones if down a bit with Oddity, a track you may or may not be familiar with. A wonderful future bass track with the the ambient build and theatrical drop that What So Not has made a trademark sound with. Best of all you can have this EP for free. Grab it below.

Chicago’s Hit Machine: Monte Booker

Monte Booker, coming out of Chicago, celebrated recently over a million overall plays on Soundcloud with over 18K followers. Thanking his fans and supporters with New Chapter. A track with a beautiful synth and woodwind intro building into glitchy sound effects and beat patterns. A smooth track to vibe to, with a title that keeps you looking forward.

Monte is making a lot of noise with his style of future bass and hip hop production. Collaborating with popular artists from Chicago, gaining some notable attention. Most recently got a feature on Pitchfork, a highly reputable music medium, with a collaborative project with Ravyn Lenae called Baby. The track itself was part of a larger project on Soulection; the 16th installment of White Label, an EP influenced by jazz and flying lotus. The project includes 2 more original tracks and another collaborative effort with Smino. Monte Booker also had the opportunity to produce Smino’s five track EP BLK Juptr.

All that done within the last couple months only. Monte releases another collab project in that time span. Being busy recording with another Chi-town artist Jay2AintShit. Contrary to his name Jay has some energetic vocals that empower Monte’s intricate beat work. The two flow well together in their finished project Gina. By himself Monte is a force, keep an ear open for his music this year.
