After releasing the track list though much of Joel’s “fans” complained that the new album contained too many old familiar songs. Joel took to reddit to respond to these claims stating most tracks were unreleased and the problem of over-sharing on the internet is not under his control.
“well, there you go. tracklist is out. It’s another culmination of another years worth of work. and i’ve always made a point to share most of my work in progress with my fans and supporters. It is a little disheartening to see negative feedback about the lack of “new” music to the die hard fan who has probably been heard everything on there… but thats just the nature of “oversharing”. I’m still proud to call this body of work a good representative album of my production capabilities, whether youve heard it or not.
the idea i like to keep in mind, is that it might be hard for you to see it, but i think the larger portion of the mau5 world hasnt heard any of this. at all. think about new fans? or people who’d like an introduction to whatever it is i do. its not “for” those people, its not “for” the die hard fans… its kinda for everyone.
id hate to just lock myself in the studio, with no streams, no fan interaction, no song previews, no free releases on live.deadmau5.com then just make an annual appearance once a year with an album full of new stuff… thats just not my style. Albums (for me) arent produced in a single sitting, overnight. They take time… and during that time, i like to keep people posted on my progress and how its moving along, whether its a stream, soundcloud preview, or live.deadmau5.com release…. and if thats something that “COMPLETELY RUINS AN ALBUM” for you… then… well, shit. i dont know what to tell you.
in the end, im proud of this album. And whether you’ve heard some, most or all over the course of the time it took me to do it, i hope you enjoy it as well. :)”
Despite the negative feedback from so called fans, the mau5’s album is still getting great reviews. Calling it a bit of a departure, but a “bit of a head bopper” the last track of the album Seeya ft Colleen D’Agostino was premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio and has been dubbed the Hottest Record in the World. It was later shared on Mau5trap record’s soundcloud with really cool, dark cover art to fit the track. For those who pre-order the album will now receive Avaritia and Seeya instantly
About this time last year Jonathan Gooch, other wise known as Feed Me one of his many DJ/producer alias’s, announced on facebook that he was prepared to quit DJing. At least for about a year. Although he has been playing few DJ sets over the past few months his focus over his hiatus was mainly his music production and graphic designing.
Well, just as he said about a year later he is back and ready to go in full gear with the announcement of a new tour in North America named “Feed Me’s Psychedelic Journey.” Feed Me’s new tour will have an updated set of “Teeth” so there will be lots of focus on visuals as well as the new music he has prepared for us over the year. With the announcement of the tour on facebook Jon delighted us fans with word of his new EP. He also was generous enough to share a track from his forthcoming EP labeled “Time For Myself” on his soundcloud. This track is available to you with purchase of presale tickets for Feed Me’s Psychedelic Journey tour in your city. Sign up here for the limited time offer.

Bassnectar releases a couple new tracks off his highly anticipated new album NVSB, short for Noise Vs Beauty. To get us excited for the new LP Lorin gives away one of his singles as a free download. Working with Rye Rye on this track dubbed Now, this track reminds us why Bassnectar is one of the most recognizable names in the music industry. This wild tune fit with Rye Rye’s awesome hip hop vocals over Bassnectars signature bass synth sounds is just one of the styles you will be hearing on the new album.
This next track off the new album takes on a more smoother intracate vibe. Starting off with a uplifting guitar riff and W Darling taking over the lyrics over Bassnectars bass synths, this track has a life of its own spreading positive energy. “It’s a love song, but it’s about friendship and family” Lorin tells Rolling Stone Magazine. “It’s about those basic human bonds of trust and loyalty, the feeling you get when you have a friend who will stand by you through thick and thin, no matter what, until the end” he continued, “I feel that You & Me is my anthem.”
The album is scheduled to be released on June 24th and Lorin is most excited to release this album in particular telling Rolling Stone “It is exactly how I envisioned it sounding…It explores the relationship between the extreme and often opposing forces of noise (loud, wild, hysteria) and beauty (deep, vulnerable, emotional).” Over the next few months Bassnectar will be promoting the new album on his tour through music festivals all over the world including TomorrowLand, Summer Camp Music Festival, EDC and Chicago’s very own North Coast Music Festival. You can pre-order the LP here on iTunes.

Then out comes Deniz Koyu, stripping the summer tune and injecting his own perfect touch, adding minimal sounds and deep vibes that show his awesome ability to turn a track into a memorable dance tune.
After keeping silent for a long while Nero went to twitter with a single date: 13.05.14. On that day they delivered, and they are back with a new single Satisfy that did just that. Premiering the track on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 Show as “Hottest Record In The World”, Dan, Joe and Alana showcase their unique mystifying electro house style that many try to repeat, but none other than Nero can perfect. Starting out with Alana’s signature vocals then leading up to dark synths and a grinding bassline, Satisfy reminds the electronic music community where Nero stands. They were never gone, they are just getting started. They announced on Twitter that their second album will be released in 2014 but with no specific date, so you can be expecting to hear more from them in the coming months. Follow Nero on Twitter and Soundcloud accounts to keep up with their latest updates.
