Brooklyn is known for its diverse pool of artists.Kevin Garettis not an exception. His voice is very peaceful and soothing. You could feel like he is from a past life through his music, an old soul one might say. With no strings attached to a label he is given himself open doors to full creativity. He is already starting to build a strong fan base, including prominent pop star, Katy Perry, who has giving him recognition on her Instagramaccount.
His EP, Mellow Drama, has it all in the name. All five songs are very mellow with a story. He really gets into your thoughts by singing what we are all thinking. You are not listening to another heartache, you are listening to what we all feel and want to say when we have drama in our lives. Listening to his music you can imagine where these songs were written, like at a coffee shop or outside. Being released since April 7th he has been given five starts on iTunes.
A powerful voice that gives chills, expressive songs and a fashion beauty. Jessie Ware always appears on stage in a chic wardrobe ready to sing her heart out. Ware’s music videos are full of nature, people and visual images that usually illustrate the ballad that is being performed. This unique musician is from London, England. She debuted her album Devotion in 2012 and her latest album Tough Love in 2014.
“Say you Love” me was written by Ware and co-written with Ed Sheeran. This love song depicts that saying these four words mean more than just a hug, and time. Love is an highly dynamic word. When someone is in love, thinking about the other person and wanting to be with them all the time can be tough, because without them life would feel incomplete. Ware sings, ‘Cause I don’t wanna fall in love, If you don’t wanna try, and It sucks when a person falls in love with someone, and the other person is unsure about their feelings towards the whole relationship.
Jessie’s genres are Electronic, R&B and Tropical. Even though she is a fresh face to the music scene, she has caught the eye of many other artist, such as rap/hip-hop artist J. Cole who jumped on this track “Kind of…sometimes…maybe” with a remix. At the beginning it gets freaky 😝 with Cole’s lyrics then incorporates Jessie’s sensual soft voice for an even more seductive tone.
What’s Next for Jessie Ware
Jessie Ware is currently on tour in the United Kingdom for the remainder of the 2015 spring and summertime. Perhaps he does have a reason to feel like a snob. His music has an upbeat ambiatic feel good sound through out the whole album. You will stay constantly positive without a doubt.

The super talented Jack LNDN from, you guessed it; London, has just released a couple of remixes, among a series of remixes on his soundcloud. This one will have you hooked. LNDN takes an already catchy pop song by James Hersey, whos voice works perfectly with Jacks chords and jazzy disco house vibes, and turns it into a groovy dance mix. But this remix is not the only one to receive so much attention! Even if you have not heard of Jack LNDN you have most likely heard his work.
LNDN made some noise remixing the award winning track Rather Be by the Clean Bandits. That track alone has over one hundred and seventy thousand views on soundcloud! Third most views next to his track on Aeterna, off of his Drop Out EP and his amazing Remix of Get Lucky by Daft Punk. But it was his Rather Be remix that had the honor of being featured on Electric Forest Music Festivals 2015 trailer.
Now Jack is getting ready to hit up a series of cities for a North American tour this summer starting May 4th. You can expect a lot of new tunes from his new EP Summer Never Ends on most of these live shows. And live shows is what we will expect to see from Jack in the near future. Recently speaking with Throwed Magazineabout his touring and new music, Jack mentioned he is “currently developing a live show where I’m trying to bring in some vocals and live vocoder stuff“. He also spoke up playing with the ideas of using keyboards or even drum pads for live performance. Which would be quite spectacular, since he has a background in classical music growing up!
While talking to Throwed as well he had noted an ambition that he was his fans to know about. Aside from working on funky deep house tunes Jack LNDN has also found a passion in making hip hop beats. “There’s certain hip hop that you can listen to in any mood. Since then I’ve been doing beats withpeople“.This ambition has already got LNDN to do a track on Lupe Fiasco‘s new album, and possibly an EP with him lined up for the future. Judging by the sound of his new deep house master piece remix of Snoop Dogg‘s Peaches N’ Cream, I will say I trust LNDN’s style of hip hop and I cannot wait to hear it what he has got!
In the interview he also talked about his creative process of making a song. He said “I’ll sit downat the piano and work something out that I like. It usually always begins around chords because thats what I know, thats what I was brought up on“. Listening to his new tracks, which you can find for free on his soundcloud easier than you can find a colorful picture of him, you can hear his professional keyboard skills work wonders for your ears. The rhythm flowing so perfectly with ambient harmonies and melodies, creating wonderful and funky dance tracks. You can hear tracks off his new Summer Never Ends EP on his soundcloud where he just released his final installment Fooled Around.
The man with the bow ties, Gab Rhome has a new EP that just came out March 30th on iTunes. His main single Drifting is just the perfect touch of house. The song goes on with a very delicate voice, like in a fantasy or dream. His goal is for his audience to feel the story behind every song. Each song’s title was set up for what mental state you are about to enter. His style is very intricate and thats how he wants to be known. He is not scared to show his emotions through music, as he takes his time to finish a song.
Anjunadeep is an Independent label based in London founded by Above & Beyond and James Grant (brother of Jono Grant.). The label’s focus is “to release timeless soulful and melodic electronic music”. Beatport acknowledged Gab Rhome as “the next rising star“. We are interested to see more of what Gab has to offer. To be supported by great influential people, like the founders of Anjunadeep, you have to be talented. No doubt we will see him more.

No this is not an ad from a popular fashion store in the mall, my friends this is a picture of Angus & Julia Stone. This brother and sister duo are from the land down under; Sydney, Australia. The sibling act formed in 2006 and their genres consist of Folk, Indie pop, acoustic music. They both are singer and songwriters that play the guitar and perform together on stage. Not only are they a well balanced team, they still have their own separate music projects going on as well. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV50lmpVk1E] What a cool party and video. Julia & Angus are performing at a house party with lights flickering, liquor, people making out and dancing. The normal. “A Heartbreak” a rock/folk song with a soft rhythm guitar and drums is easy to vibe too in a small intimate setting. It opens up about a young woman who went from a “good girl” to a “bad girl” when she starts to hang out with offbeat people in which she starts to see the world around her in a different aspect. “Big Jet Plane” has a chill tempo like riding in a car on a rainy day thinking about someone special. With violins and a soft beat this definitely is an unwind song with a message. As it is expressed in the opening lines “She said ‘hello mister, please to meet ya’; I wanna hold her, I wanna kiss her; She smelled of daisies, she smelled of daisies; She drive me crazy, she drive me crazy” Meeting someone out the blue for the first time can be a tense. If the attraction is real it creates the feeling of infatuation so trust me for future advice take a chance don’t miss an opportunity talk to that person. Let this song give all people motivation.

PHANTOGRAM is the electronic psych pop duo from upstate New York, comprised of Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel. Their music is a blend of head-knocking, unique street beat sounds with psychedelic melodies. Sarah sings lead vocals, plays the keyboard, and co-writes all of the songs with Josh, who also does vocals, creates beats and plays the guitar. The band has released three studio albums Eyelid Movies in 2009, Nightlife in 2011 and Voicesin 2014.
When I’m small opens up with a hip-hop beat then adds guitar with a pop rhythm that latches on next by the second verse. The bass line establishes the vibe of a deep tempo leaving the rest of the track to cause a reaction. Whether a person only likes only a certain genre, many different genres are fused together in this song producing one sound. It also tells the story of an abused woman and her inner conflict concerning her abusive partner.
The real meaning of Phantogram is an optical illusion; but in this case the video is also a non-concrete image, merged with music, art and fashion. This is just another way of the duo introducing themselves to the world. Fall in Love explains how a woman can also be the heart breaker. A man can fall in love with a woman on the flip side the woman may not feel the same way ‘Cause you were falling…..I’m sorry baby 🙁
What’s next for Phantogram
Phantogram is currently making appearances on night time television shows with popular well-known artist such as Big Boi from OutKast, performing at shows across America like the Hangout Festival, Lollapalooza, Coachella and they will be appearing at Electric Forest this year in June. A man of few words, this seemingly anonymous artist ATTLAS is all about his music. It is all he has shared with us so far, but we are not complaining. His music is quite breathe taking. All ATTLAS provides us with is a profile pic, a few teaser trailers and links to his music. A few speculated the artist to be Deadmau5 himself, others deem it to be a man by the name of Jeff Hartford. Either way it is refreshing to see an artist put more focus on his music than anything else.
First making noise with a beautiful remix of Aural Synapse by Deadmau5 for 5 Years of Mau5 a few months back ATTLAS has since been signed to mau5trap and been busy with music. Soon after releasing a bootleg remix of Tove Lo‘s Scream My Name. You can get both tracks for free on his soundcloud.
Most recently he had a feature on We Are Friends, an artist compilation album on mau5trap with Sabs as the first song starting off the lp with really energetic and deep basslines. And finally ‘Siren’, released about a week ago, is an ep filled with wonderful sounds and compositions ranging in energy and tempo that should definitely be in your playlist. It is simply amazing. So follow him on soundcloud, linked below, and find out how you can get your paws on it.
