Bassnectar Releases A Couple Tracks off New Album.

Image

Bassnectar releases a couple new tracks off his highly anticipated new album NVSB, short for Noise Vs Beauty. To get us excited for the new LP Lorin gives away one of his singles as a free download. Working with Rye Rye on this track dubbed Now, this track reminds us why Bassnectar is one of the most recognizable names in the music industry. This wild tune fit with Rye Rye’s awesome hip hop vocals over Bassnectars signature bass synth sounds is just one of the styles you will be hearing on the new album.

This next track off the new album takes on a more smoother intracate vibe.  Starting off with a uplifting guitar riff and W Darling taking over the lyrics over Bassnectars bass synths, this track has a life of its own spreading positive energy. “It’s a love song, but it’s about friendship and family” Lorin tells Rolling Stone Magazine. “It’s about those basic human bonds of trust and loyalty, the feeling you get when you have a friend who will stand by you through thick and thin, no matter what, until the end” he continued, “I feel that You & Me is my anthem.”

The album is scheduled to be released on June 24th and Lorin is most excited to release this album in particular telling Rolling Stone “It is exactly how I envisioned it sounding…It explores the relationship between the extreme and often opposing forces of noise (loud, wild, hysteria) and beauty (deep, vulnerable, emotional).” Over the next few months Bassnectar will be promoting the new album on his tour through music festivals all over the world including TomorrowLand, Summer Camp Music Festival, EDC and Chicago’s very own North Coast Music Festival. You can pre-order the LP here on iTunes.

Röyksopp & Robyn link up for a night in Bergen, Norway and their company together inspired each other to make their hit song Do It Again, calling it an “accidental pop” song off their mini LP Do It Again. Then out comes Deniz Koyu, stripping the summer tune and injecting his own perfect touch, adding minimal sounds and deep vibes that show his awesome ability to turn a track into a memorable dance tune.

Nero is back with Satisfy

NeroSatisfy

After keeping silent for a long while Nero went to twitter with a single date: 13.05.14. On that day they delivered, and they are back with a new single Satisfy that did just that. Premiering the track on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 Show as “Hottest Record In The World”, Dan, Joe and Alana showcase their unique mystifying electro house style that many try to repeat, but none other than Nero can perfect. Starting out with Alana’s signature vocals then leading up to dark synths and a grinding bassline, Satisfy reminds the electronic music community where Nero stands. They were never gone, they are just getting started.  They announced on Twitter that their second album will be released in 2014 but with no specific date, so you can be expecting to hear more from them in the coming months. Follow Nero on Twitter and Soundcloud accounts to keep up with their latest updates.

Deadmau5 new album details

deadmau5-while-12-album-art-510Deadmau5‘s most anticipated album finally gets a title and a release date. This epic 25 track 2 disk LP we have all been waiting for gets yet another peculiar album title, keeping the trend going for peculiar album titles like 4×4=12 and >album title goes here<. While(1<2) is the name, and its meaning is simply a programming code command to indefinitely loop a track. It is no secret that Joel (deadmau5’s real name) is a computing genius. While the album was finished months ago in January as Joel announced on his Twitter account stating it is “something I’m proud of”, he recently revealed on his Live website that the official release date is this summer on the 17th of June digitally and physically a week later on the 24th.

Those words reminded and reassured his fellow fans on how immensely great this album will be. Although the album will not be released till next month, it will be available for pre-order on his Live website on the 20th of May. Those who pre-order will receive Avaritia, one of the tracks on the LP, as a preview. Those who do not, well, will just get a thirty second long teaser of the albums first single, which was originally released as part of deadmau5’s Seven Deadly Sins Soundcloud EP pack. Sign up to Deadmau5 Live to keep up with all his updates and do not forget to pre-order While(1<2) so you can be the first to hear one of the most anticipated electronic music albums of this year!

ProbCauseWaves

ProbCause comes out with the perfect summer album to listen to while you are out chillin with the homies. While ProbCause is busy on his nationwide tour in the states he managed to perfect his album Waves with some massive collaborations. Working with Exmag, Gibbz and Chicago locals Donnie TrumpetChance the Rapper and even Twista, Prob otherwise known as Colin Grimm spits the rawest lyrics over smooth beats. The diversity in music styles that Colin can work with shows what talent and creativity he is capable of. CRNKN drops “the Clearing” EP

Image

CRNKN has the the third free release on the Nest HQ platform in what he is calling his “first legitimate EP”. Along with the 6 track EP, the man also known as Gabriel Baer released a concept video to outline the overall feel and idea of new EP “The Clearing”. The video is a black and white grainy artist rendering of a mans struggle to overcome fear to reach his goal, with clips of all 6 tracks playing one after the other setting the mood for the visuals. It is seemingly an artistic metaphor for whatever challenges lie between person and their ultimate goal and what it takes to achieve it.

For Gabriel it seems his goal is to challenge what people expect of him musically. In an interview with Nest he states, “With The Clearing I wanted to try and distance myself from whatever preconceived notions people had / have about the kinds of music that I make”, he goes on to say, “It’s really important to have room to experiment and grow as an artist so with this release I’m hoping to lay the groundwork for that”.

CRNKN’s shift in artistic expression musically is apparent with one of his recent remixes “Bedroom Wall” from Banks, taking on a more deep house vibe rather than his usual trap beats. His experimentation is getting some positive feedback from the fans as well. I personally enjoy hearing an artist take on new styles mixed with their own, and with CRNKN, you can you can really hear how his style is evolving scrolling through his soundcloud.

Be sure to check out the Clearing EP below!
